Oh life...

Life life life... what are you doing to me?!

One minute my social life is boring and uni seems to be like the only thing I do with my life, and the next minute I've managed to somehow get myself a boyfriend and somewhat a social life... but of course, I'm still stuck with the endless amounts of uni work.

I love doing these little update posts for myself to look back on in the future... it's like my little corner on the big wide web where I can just chuck some words together and for some reason 1K of you enjoy reading it! Where did you all come from?!!?
It felt like a good time to do a little update post about my life. If you've read my previous posts about university (Stepping StonesUni Update) you'll know my struggles with it, it hasn't been easy... BUT, I have finally made it to the last couple of months of the first year of uni *cries into a heap*.

My Tattoo Experience || Guest Post by Kate

Hello petals of perfection readers,

I’m baaaacckkkk….in case you don’t know who this is, my name is Kate. I previously wrote a post about not getting into university and having to take a gap year. This post is on a completely different subject, more to do with beauty some may say but others may disagree. Tattoos can prove to be a rather controversial subject. Some argue that they can be ugly and take away someone’s beauty, however I personally find them pretty, and if someone wants to cover themselves in tattoos then I think that’s their choice and good on them. My dad and one of my best friends don’t like tattoos, and both of them didn’t want me to have one...and well I got one done anyway. My parents had a split opinion, my mum didn’t really have opinion either way but my dad really didn’t want me to get one. Sophie was pretty excited like myself about the idea of me getting a tattoo.
I’d been thinking about getting a tattoo for years, I’ve always wanted one but it has taken me a while to choose my final design. I’ve always said that I didn’t want one until I had a meaning behind one, so until that point I had put off getting one. I finally found a design that I felt represented the memorial behind it. Now all I had to do was book…but where? I personally picked ReppinInk, in Mottingham…and yes I had it done by Sketch, and I know he’s had a lot of bad press recently but personally I’m glad I picked him.

Makeup Revolution's 2nd Birthday!

As you may well know, I have been rather excited about the Makeup Revolution 2nd Birthday party. Tweeting backwards and forwards with fellow bloggers, finding out what you were going to wear, who was going, just to try and make sure that if I saw you I could say hello. When I got my invite through the email, I immediately tweeted about it, just to make sure everyone knew, I think I could say that this party is one of the best things about blogging. If you are thinking about blogging, or even giving it up because you haven’t got many views, DON’T DO IT. I can assure you that these things can just take time, and eventually will pay off and you can go on and go to events just like this.
Now on to the evening, Kate and I started to get ready at my house, eating beforehand which I have to say was a good call. We both decided that we didn’t want to wear heels until we had arrived in the venue, just to save our feet the agony and it also meant we could dance the night away. Anyway, we ended up missing the bus to the station, meaning we were stood at the bus stop in flip-flops and dresses, looking rather overdressed. Thankfully, Kate’s parents came to our rescue by giving us a lift, but not before we got odd looks from those driving past us. We got to the station with minutes to spare, both of us relieved that we had finally gotten on the train and we were on our way…or so we thought. It turns out that we had gotten on the wrong train amongst our panic of arriving before 6:30pm. Two tubes later, and we are finally at Leicester Square.

Thoughts We've All Had When We're Drunk

I've been tipsy/drunk a fair amount of times... some times it's great, other times it's not *flashbacks to puking on the side of the curb in Covent Garden*... so I thought I would share with you some thoughts that I have when I'm drunk... well, at least the thoughts that I can remember haha!
1. Happy Hour... what could go wrong?!
2. These cocktails are not working their magic... Tequila time *BAD IDEA*...
